That's all I can say, wow. So much has happened since I last blogged. Which, feels like 1962 was the last time I blogged.
In a nutshell:
Family is fine. Just fine. Some drama. I am so incredibly happy with some relationships and sad about some relationships. I am a very forgiving person and very solution-oriented and sometimes other people aren't willing to apologize or be solution oriented as well. The same can be said in work relationships and friendships.
Friends are wonderful. In fact, I am having a little 'thing' at my house Sunday afternoon to celebrate my birthday (which is March 10, not March 8) and I couldn't feel more blessed than I do about the friends I have. In lieu of my usual "girls' nite at Bravo" for my birthday, I am having an open house type-thing. AND I am inviting the "Significant others".
I was named Editor-in-Chief of the firm's Intranet/Internet. That was a huge honor. If nothing else, one more responsibility and talent to add to my list of "Why we can't let her go during this recession, let's fire someone else".
Speaking of the recession, it's bad. Very bad. Companies are laying off left and right. Businesses are vacant; like ghost-towns everywhere. I especially notice this on the bus ride to and from work. So sad. I know its affecting my family, and friends. People I care about. It's affecting the animal community in a devastating way because when people are struggling financially, they get rid of their pets; usually by dropping them at a shelter. And, when people lose their home to foreclosure they relinquish their pets. It's just out of control.
I love my sorority. The girls in it are so loving and wonderful. What I love most about it, is we can all make it exactly what we want to be; some girls are 100% involved in everything and don't know 'outside the sorority'. For the time being I have decided to go to the meetings and be involved in the charitable side, but hold back a bit on the socials. And that's okay. It's just a wonderful group of women.
Tommy and Bibi are pregnant again. I never thought I could love something like I love my niece. When she was born I decided I want children. Yet, through these years of loving her, I have realized if I dont have children, it is okay. I can be the coolest fucking aunt EVER. Just kidding. Well, not really. I mean, I am okay with not having children.
Dating life is comical. As ever. I really do need to write a book. I'm pretty sure I have been on 40 first-dates this year, 2009, so far. If not more. Very comical. I will say usually I am the picky one (many will say it's due to my fear of being hurt) and decide 5 mns into the first date that I do not want to see them again... however what comes around most definitely goes around as I have had 2 people in the last 2 weeks not want to see me again. Very humbling!
Okay well this is all for now. It took me about 10 mns to log onto my blog because I forgot my password.
